Stanislav Karandasov is a senior associate with RGP’s Dispute Resolution practice. He has extensive experience in representing clients in international arbitration proceedings under UNCITRAL, ICC and ICAC Rules. Stanislav’s practice focuses on the resolution of cross border disputes in Russian courts, specifically on the recognition and enforcement of foreign court judgments and arbitral awards. In addition, Stanislav is well versed in bankruptcy proceedings, including cross border bankruptcy cases.

  • Representing a subsidiary of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation in €5 million international arbitration proceedings according to the ICC Rules in a dispute arising out of a supply agreement
  • Advising a European insurance company in connection with a ₽70+ million dispute with reinsurers in arbitration proceedings according to the ICAC Rules

Litigation

  • Representing a major foreign bank before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in connection with a ₽1+ billion case related to the invalidity of loan agreements and security transactions
  • Successfully representing a client before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation in a landmark case related to disputing a bank transaction as a part of bankruptcy proceedings controlled by the Deposit Insurance Agency
  • Representing a drilling company in its dispute with an oil producer related to the recovery of losses in excess of ₽500 million
  • Representing a foreign bank in connection with the protection of its assets valued in excess of ₽20 billion in the multijurisdictional bankruptcy of an Irish billionaire
